How We Can Help with Your Mortgage
01
First-Time Buyers
Understand affordability, deposits, agreements in principle and the Scottish buying process before making offers. We can help with gifted deposits and relevant shared-equity options.
02
Moving Home
Explore what your existing equity, current mortgage and future plans could mean for your next purchase, including whether porting your mortgage may be an option.
03
Remortgages
Review your options before your current deal ends, whether you want to consider a new rate, change the mortgage or discuss additional borrowing.
04
Shared Equity
Get advice on mortgages connected with Scottish shared-equity and shared-ownership arrangements, whether you are buying, remortgaging, selling or considering an increase in your share.
05
Buy to Let
Discuss buy-to-let mortgage options for a first rental property, an existing portfolio, a limited company or a remortgage. Availability and requirements depend on the applicant and property.
06
Adverse Credit
Talk through missed payments, defaults, Scottish decrees, debt arrangements or a previous mortgage decline without assumptions or judgement. Any available options depend on the full circumstances.
07
Debt Consolidation
Consider the implications of adding other borrowing to a mortgage, including the longer-term cost and the additional risk created by securing debts against your home.
08
Home Improvements
Explore mortgage-related borrowing for repairs, extensions or renovation, including a remortgage, further advance or an introduction for another secured-borrowing route where appropriate.
Advice Before Products
A Mortgage Recommendation Built Around You
A mortgage is more than a headline interest rate. Lenders can assess income, commitments, deposit, credit history and the property in different ways. The right starting point is a clear picture of your circumstances and priorities, not a generic product list.
Your adviser will discuss what you are hoping to do, review the information needed to assess affordability and research suitable options available through the lender panel used by Anderson Mortgages. Some products are available only through intermediaries, while some direct-only products are not available through the panel. The scope of the service will be explained before a personal recommendation is made.
The support continues after an application is submitted. We will help you understand what is happening, communicate with the lender and keep you updated. If a better rate becomes available on the agreed mortgage before completion, we can check whether changing it is appropriate.
One Point of Contact
Personal Support from First Conversation to Completion
You will not be passed into an automated matching service. An adviser will respond to your enquiry, discuss the next steps and remain your main point of contact throughout the case.
Meetings can be arranged by telephone or video call, at your home or at another suitable agreed location. This allows us to work with customers in Uddingston and Lanarkshire, across Scotland and farther afield where practical.
Your enquiry will be answered personally and promptly, no later than the next working day. Our usual hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
